The 2013 Relay For Life is set for April 26-27 at the middle school track.

Relay teams from area clubs, organizations, schools, churches and businesses will walk the track continuously for 17 hours to show their dedication to the fight against cancer.

Relay is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, which funds cancer research, patient services and education campaigns.

This year’s relay features live entertainment, a kid’s area and food vendors.

The event begins with an opening ceremony Friday night at 6 pm. The luminaria ceremony to remember those who lost their lives to cancer will be at 9 pm. The closing ceremony will take place at 11 am Saturday.
