The Baker County Commission will meet April 3 to consider, among other items, the development agreement with Integrated Waste Management Systems, the Pennsylvania-based company with plans to build a medical waste incinerator facility north of the Walmart Distribution Center. The hearing to consider the agreement is set for 6 pm, though the regular meeting begins at 5 pm. Also on the agenda:

• Brad Thoburn will update county commissioners on the progress of the Regional Transportation Study Commission, which has been examining the creation of a new regional transportation authority and how it could be funded and governed in the future. The study was mandated by the state legislature a few years ago. The agency remains in the planning stages.

• More discussion on closure of Barber Road.

• Discussion on Bob Kirkland Road.

• A request for qualifications from engineering firms for environmental support services at the closed Steel Bridge Road landfill.
