May 15-20 is EMS (emergency medical services) Week throughout Florida, and several events are planned in Baker County to observe it. The public is invited to the Emergency Operations Center [EOC] on US 90 in Macclenny on Thursday afternoon, May 19, when the Trauma One helicopter will be parked for tours.  A blood drive will be held from noon-4:00 pm on Monday, May 16. It also is at the EOC. EMS director David Richardson said several events are planned at area schools as well.
