| Share The Baker County Commission will convene for its second of two regular monthly meetings May 17 at 55 N. 3rd St. in Macclenny. A workshop at 3:00 pm will include discussion of:
• A large lot exception to subdivision regulations. The regs mandate parcels divided more than twice must be platted with the county. The exception would allow for divisions without platting provided the lots created a larger than a specified threshold, proposed at 40 acres.
• A proposed moratorium on impact fees.
• A medical director contract for EMS.
• Property assessment, or tax, for emergency medical services [EMS].
• Replacement of retiring County Manager Joe Cone.
On the board's regular agenda at 5:00 pm:
• Approval of a $19K grant for an arboretum at the ag center.
• An agreement with CSX for construction of a new sidewalk crossing at CR 23A railroad tracks. It's part of the CR23A resurfacing and sidewalks project by FDOT.
• Purchase of lawn maintenance equipment.
The regular meeting begins at 5:00 pm.
