Share Warren B. “Cubby” Carroll, 88, of Glenford, Ohio, formerly of Grafton, WV, and Macclenny, died on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus, OH. Cubby was born December 3, 1923 in Grafton, the son of the late Willie B. and Mary Elizabeth Jane Poe Carroll. He was a World War II Army veteran, and retired after 29½ years from Kaiser Aluminum in Newark, OH. He was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Glenford Lions Club. Mr. Carroll is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dortha Lane Carroll; daughters Angelia (Alex) Masters and Evelyn (Richard) Gothard, both of Newark; sons Michael (Vicki) Carroll and Larry (Cindy) Carroll, both of Glenford; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother Brady (Louise) Carroll of Grafton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Edsel, Everett and William Carroll; and grandson Shane Carroll. The funeral service will be held at 11 am on November 15 at his church with Pastor John Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Glenford, OH with military honors. Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset was in charge of arrangements. |
