Share Bessie Louise Crump, 94, of Sanderson died on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Macclenny Nursing and Rehab Center following a long illness. She was a native of St. Louis, MO and resided in Sanderson the past 35 years. Mrs. Crump was a proof operator at the Wellston Bank in Wellston, MO for over 25 years until retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Glen St. Mary, the Woman’s Club of Macclenny and the Baldwin Order of the Eastern Star; and a former member of the Charmers dance troupe of Baker County. Mrs. Crump was predeceased by parents Franklin and Bessie McMichael Slocum, husband William Newton Crump and son-in-law Windell Dugger. She is survived by daughter Bessie L. Dugger of Sanderson; two brothers William F. Crump of Sanderson and Richard E. Crump of Florissant, MO; 11 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.The funeral service for Mrs. Crump will be at 3 pm on Wednesday, September 19 at her church with Rev. Stephen C. Johnson, associate pastor, officiating. Interment follows at Cedar Creek Cemetery in Sanderson. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral service. Guerry Funeral Home of Macclenny is in charge of arrangements. |
