Marian Elaine Sikes, 63, of Lake City died on August 20, 2012 at her sister’s home in Colbert, Georgia. She was born in Jacksonville on October 10, 1948 to the late Roy Goodson and Marian Rowe Goodson. Elaine was a resident of Baker County most of her life. She was the owner and operator of A and R Grooming for pets and she enjoyed pottery. Most of all, Elaine loved her family and family gatherings. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, John Daniel Sikes Sr.

She is survived by loving children: Danny (Sandra) Sikes of Lake City, Patty (John) Sikes Rosier, and Jimmy Sikes, both of Taylor; sister Annie Lou (Ronnie) Cooner of Colbert, GA; grandchildren Thomas Bubba Dyal Jr., Ashley Dyal, J.D. Sikes Jr., Justin R. Sikes, Melissa Branch and Jason Gerke; two great-grandsons.

The funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 22 at noon in the chapel of Ferreira Funeral Services in Macclenny with Pastor Johnny Griffin officiating. Interment followed at Macedonia Cemetery.
