Share “Hosker’s Georgie Boy,” also known as George, is a 5-year-old Plott Hound co-owned by Macclenny residents Joi Hosker and Josh Davis. George was one of 25 dogs in the country in the Plott division invited to compete in the American Kennel Club/Eukenuba National Championship, one of the top three American dog shows. The event will feature a record-breaking 14,000 entries and take place December 18 in Orlando. Already an AKC grand champion, George will also be appearing as one of five Plott Hounds invited to participate in the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Garden in New York in February 2012. George's journey from puppy to adult champion almost didn't happen. The dog was lost for months due to the unscrupulous actions of a kennel manager. For all the details see next week's edition of The Baker County Press. |
