The high school's graduation rate rose 4.3 percent in 2010-11 according to the latest graduation and dropout rates from the Florida Department of Education released Monday.

Florida's graduation rate increased modestly by 1.1 percent from 79 percent to 80.1 percent. Here the graduation rate climbed from 75.9 percent in 2009-10 to 80.2 percent for 2010-11.

Two years ago, for the 2009-10 school year, the BCHS graduation rate stood at 85.3 percent.

The school's dropout rate for 2010-11 remained higher than the statewide rate at 2.5 percent. Florida's dropout rate was 1.9 percent.
