Share Dear Editor: This letter is in response to the article last week on the county commission decision not to allow citizens to vote on Sunday liquor sales. I am a born-again Christian and as such I can appreciate Commissioner Jimmy Anderson making his decision based on WWJD. I believe I can answer what Jesus would do because I know what He did. He gave me the freedom to decide whether or not I wanted to become a Christian, and as such I have the freedom to choose daily if I wish to follow Him. Thankfully, His mercy is new every morning because I don’t always make the right choice, but it is my choice. I believe the people of Baker County should have the privilege to decide for themselves what they want in their county, therefore taking the burden of that decision off the commissioners’ consciences.
