A county deputy arrested a Macclenny man earlier this month for committing lewd acts, indecent exposure and resisting arrest without violence.

Larry Daniels, 62, was seated in a Dodge pickup truck in the middle of Oscar Ruise Rd. in Margaretta the evening of September 9 soliciting sex, according to Deputy Steven Smith, who responded shortly after 7 o’clock to a complaint from residents.

The officer said he had to force Mr. Daniels out of the truck after the suspect failed to show his hands on command and appeared to be reaching under his seat.

When he placed the suspect on the ground, he noticed that Mr. Daniels was wearing women’s lingerie and no underwear. Francile Williams, 41, who lives nearby, told the officer that Mr. Daniels earlier propositioned her for sex and both she and her daughter, age 11, who walked up to the vehicle, observed that Mr. Daniels was playing a pornographic DVD on his laptop computer while committing a lewd act.

The officer seized the computer, his cell phone and the women’s clothing.
