Evelyn Burnsed Raulerson, 76, of Jacksonville died Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Shands Jacksonville following a long illness. She was born in Moniac, Georgia and resided in Jacksonville for the past 60 years. She was a homemaker and member of the Moniac Baptist Church.
Mrs. Raulerson enjoyed gardening and reading in her spare time. She was preceded in death by parents Enoch Burnsed and Elsie Rhoden Burnsed; husband James C. Raulerson.Survivors include daughter Lila Faye (Bobby) Boston of Jacksonville; sons James Wendle Raulerson and Randolph “Randy” S. (Ann) Raulerson, both of Jacksonville; sisters Ester Mae Yonn of Yulee, Ruth (Bill) Bates of Macclenny and Ethel Raulerson of Moniac; brothers Wayne (Florence) Burnsed of Moniac, Wade (Delores) Burnsed of McRae, Ga; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was held May 10 at her church with Rev. Ricky Dyal officiating. Interment followed at North Prong Cemetery. Guerry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
