Share![]() Majorette team: Jessica Davis, Hannah Dopson, Jena Sands, Haley Kirkland, Taylor Hartley, Braleigh Nipper and Haley Dopson. The Baker High majorettes took the top spot at the Florida State corps and team championship May 1. It’s the second year in a row that the high school squad has won the championship. The girls competed in two events, the majorette dance twirl event and the small halftime show. The squad is comprised of Taylor Hartley, Haley Kirkland, Hannah Dopson, Jena Sands, Jessica Davis, Haley Dopson and Baleigh Nipper. They are coached by Kristen Haddock and June Stoeber. The girls also twirl competitively with others in surrounding counties in a senior twirling corps routine with props under the direction of Ms. Stoeber.They travel throughout the year to practice with the other twirlers in the group. This group also took a first place in Florida State corps. The high school majorettes, joined with the middle school majorettes and other twirlers in Baker County under the direction of Kristen Haddock and Amanda Filosi, to twirl together in a halftime routine that also placed first in the competition. |
